In the Cup
This exceptional natural-process lot from the Guji zone of southern Ethiopia delivers an explosively fruity cup with layers of wild blueberry, strawberry jam, and tropical mango, balanced by jasmine florals, dark chocolate sweetness, and a wine-like body that lingers. Grown at 2,000-2,200 meters on volcanic soil by third-generation producer Kedir Jebril, every cherry is hand-picked at peak ripeness and sun-dried on raised African beds with meticulous attention to airflow and turning schedules. The result is a coffee that captures the terroir of Guji in its purest, most vivid expression.
SCA Cupping Protocol
Evaluated by two independent SCA-certified Q-graders using a blind cupping protocol. Every attribute scored on a 10-point scale.
Total Score
91/100
Scored using the SCA Specialty Coffee Association cupping form. Attributes rated on a 6–10 point scale; uniformity, clean cup, and sweetness rated as 0 or 2 points per cup. Disagreements of more than 3 points trigger a third evaluator.

Meet the Producer
Guji, Oromia, Ethiopia · Est. 2003
Kedir Jebril has been cultivating heirloom varieties on the slopes of Kayon Mountain for over two decades. His 12-hectare farm sits within the lush Guji zone, where volcanic soils rich in minerals and a consistent diurnal temperature swing of 15 degrees Celsius produce coffees of extraordinary complexity. Each lot is hand-picked by a team of 40 seasonal workers at peak ripeness, sun-dried on raised African beds for 18 to 22 days, and turned every 30 minutes during the critical first 72 hours. Kedir is a third-generation grower whose family helped pioneer the natural process in southern Ethiopia. He reinvests directly in local schools and water-filtration infrastructure, and his farm is a model for sustainable specialty production in the region.
